Dennis Ogburn is a writer/director based in Los Angeles. Born in Eugene, OR where he spent much of his childhood haunting various local video stores discovering his love of cinema, after a summer saving up for his first ever camcorder at age nine, that love deepened into an infatuation with filmmaking that he’s explored ever since.
Dennis minored in film at the University of San Francisco before completing a film MFA in directing at ArtCenter College of Design in 2023. His various short films have shown at film festivals around the world. Among his filmmaking accomplishments is winning “Best Artistic Vision” for his 2012 short film drøm at the Beyond Film School Bay Area Film Showcase, an award he was chosen for personally by Moonlight(2016) director Barry Jenkins.
